I qualified as a midwife in 2000 from the University of Central England in Birmingham and have worked in maternity services in a variety of roles ever since. In 2017, I took a break from full-time midwifery to run my own sports massage business, before returning to NHS midwifery more recently.
I trained as a Pilates instructor in 2018 after many years of enjoying Pilates myself. I’ve completed APPI Matwork, Antenatal and Postnatal training, as well as specialist modules for cyclists and runners. I love teaching at the Well Centre and supporting people to build confidence, strength and trust in their bodies.
Outside of work, I enjoy family life with my labradoodle, Chester, and my two grown-up children. I’m passionate about staying active and enjoy swimming, cycling and running (with the occasional triathlon thrown in for good measure!), and over the last few years I’ve discovered the benefits — and enjoyment — of lifting heavy in the gym.
