The Well Centre

New classes at the WEll Centre!!

We are delighted to offer you the chance to try out some new studio classes with Leah .
They are mixed ability classes with options for easier and more challenging versions.


These classes are available to book for the new term starting on Monday 13th April and ending on Saturday 23rd May = 6 weeks.  It costs £81 to book the 6 weeks of term. 

Or you can book ad-hoc classes if you can only make certain dates. This cost will be based on the number of classes at £13.50 per class.

Mindful flexibility stretching - Monday at 11.30am
This class is to restore or increase the length or flexibility of muscles. Our focus in this class is to warm the body up ready for stretching. During the stretching phase of the lesson we will use varied methods and techniques such as maintenance stretches and developmental stretches. This is a mindfulness class, enjoying the use of our breath work to melt into our stretches more. The stretching will help ease any aches and pains you feel in day to day life and is a great recovery class for stiffness and fatigue. Enjoy slowing down and relaxing the mind and body in this mindful stretching class.

Leah is an excellent teacher, very calm and patient; she explains and demonstrates each new move very well and is happy to come round individually if help is needed.

I emerge from her classes walking tall and erect. I feel my core rising to the challenge.

Ballet pilates fusion - Thursday at 11.30am
This class will focus on mat work as well as standing work. The slow controlled ballet movements will improve your core stability to help everyday ease of movement and balancing. This class will also increase lower body strength focusing on glutes, hamstrings, inner thighs and much more. I will be using classical mat Pilates for our Mat work strength and a range of ballet like standing exercises focusing on alignment, correct engagement and control of the body.
If you are wanting to fire up the legs, glutes and core this class is for you!


Reviews for Ballet Pilates Fusion:  

I enjoyed the Ballet Fusion class and it certainly worked the legs and with upper body work too. Using ballet positions offered a challenge, using muscles in a different way. Leah is very attentive in checking we were doing things properly and offering adjustments when needed. I'm now looking forward to her Mindful class next week.

Leah was so friendly and welcoming. She provided very clear instruction and took the time to ensure that we were all completing the exercises correctly. There was a range of abilities in the class and Leah ensured that there were adjustments to suit all levels. The ballet angle to the exercises helped with posture and found some new muscles to work! Some of the reps did burn, which always feels like value for money! The stretches after were obviously well targeted as I avoided being too stiff.
